Liels un Mazs is an independent, award-winning children’s book publisher based in Riga, Latvia. In 2022, we won the Bologna Prize for the Best Children’s Publishers of the Year for Europe (BOP). We are focused on publishing contemporary picture books, quality fiction, and poetry, both by Latvian authors and translated works.


Moritz is a publishing house focusing on picture books, books for first readers and non fiction for children. In addition to German books, we publish many titles in French, Swedish, Polish, Dutch or Japanese origin. Some of these authors include Chen Jianghong, Antje Damm, Anne Fine, Tom Gauld, Katja Gehrmann, and John Hare.


La Joie de lire, a Swiss publishing house, was founded in 1987 by Francine Bouchet to promote children’s literature. Every year, we print around 40-45 books (fiction and nonfiction) and our catalog consists of around 700 titles. Our mission is to nurture children’s innate curiosity, to present the richness of art, and to cultivate taste from the youngest age, while conveying a literary and artistic heritage to young readers.


Kunstanstifter Publishing House was founded in 2006 by Suse and Niklas Thierfelder in Mannheim. Kunstanstifter titles are hybrids of literature and art, for children and grown-up readers alike, often beyond established categories. We strive to publish illustrated books apart from the mainstream, art that charts new frontiers, fresh and provoking, smart and masterly crafted.


The Old Lion Publishing House is a Ukrainian publishing house that creates books for the entire family. We publish picture books, fairy tales, poems for children, stories for school-aged children, a series of books for teens, nonfiction for a variety of ages, fine poetry, interesting novels, atlases and albums of incredible beauty, and even anti-stress coloring books. We strive to make our books inspire readers.


Walker Books is a British publisher of children’s books, founded in 1978 by Sebastian Walker, Amelia Edwards, and Wendy Boase. In 1991, the success of Walker Books’ Where’s Wally? series enabled the company to expand into the American market, starting a sister company called Candlewick Press in 1991. In May 2020, the company was acquired by Trustbridge Global Media, together with its sister company in the US Candlewick Press and its other subsidiary in Australia.


Pickle Yolk Books is a young, independent publishing house based in India. We are recognized for our unbridled passion to create picture books that are bold, beautiful and conversation starters. We were shortlisted for BOP Bologna Prize Best Children’s Publishers of the Year 2022 from Asia, and have been a three-time finalist as the Publisher of the Year at the Publishing Next Industry Awards (India).

Amelì Editora was founded in 2018, with the intention of publishing outstanding illustrated books, which respect the reader’s intelligence, present new or daring or even difficult themes. We treat the book with great care, respecting all the professionals involved in the production chain, with special attention to the materiality of the book, which includes design and printing.

Mil Caramiolas is a Brazilian publisher, specialized in illustrated children’s fiction books. The catalog has original stories for children up to age 9, including Toddlers. In addition to Portuguese, some titles are also published in German, French, Spanish and Turkish. The company was founded by the writer Lulu Lima, who signs most of the titles.

Vivat Publishing Ltd, an award winning publishing house in Ukraine with international reach, publishes books with a real appeal to readers. They use innovative concepts and artwork by prominent Ukrainian and foreign writers and artists to educate and inspire readers.


Mamino is a children’s publishing house founded in 2016 and based in Kyiv. Behind each publication is a love of literature and a team of extraordinary professionals who love and live their work.


“The Black Sheep” focuses its attention on books with social and psychological topics as well as those addressing problems of emotional intelligence and social responsibility. It also creates bilingual editions to help Ukrainian children learn foreign languages.


Portal Books creates books on history and culture on both a local and global scale. With a focus on context, interrelationships and the psychological, we explore the history of Ukraine and, in doing so, the history of the world. 


A-BA-BA-HA-LA-MA-HA, founded in Kyiv in 1992, is the 2019 Publishing Prestige Award Winner and the first privately owned publisher of children’s books to be established in an independent Ukraine. We publish books for all ages to an international market and exhibitions by our illustrators have been staged in a number of global venues.
